Off the clock

Vic and Kara

Vic Newman and his wife Kara are active in their community. They volunteer every year for The Ride of a Lifetime, which supports the Children's Miracle Network, and they ride chaperone for the lead runners at the Rock and Roll Marathon.

Both are lifelong athletes and competitive cyclists. Kara is a five time World Championship Ironman qualifier, and Vic raced bicycles at a high level for decades, including winning the Nevada Senior Olympics cycling race in 2024. When they are not working, they are usually on a bike, in the gym, or hiking with their rescue dogs, Zipp and Butkus.
